Bamboo Matcha Scoop — Chashaku
The chashaku is one of the quieter tools in a matcha preparation — a single curved piece of white bamboo, shaped to measure and transfer matcha from tin to bowl without losing a grain. The curve at the tip isn't decorative; it's the result of a deliberate shaping process that determines how the powder releases. One scoop, roughly half a teaspoon, is the standard measure for a bowl of usucha. Light enough to disappear into the ritual, essential enough to be missed when it isn't there.
